Description
These chili seeds are of the Cumari do Para variety, from the Capsicum chinense family. Also known as Yellow Cumari, often mistaken for the true Cumari, which still belongs to another family – the Capsicum Baccatum.
The plant has triangular fruits, which are 3 cm long by 1 cm wide, which discolor to yellow when ripe. It is a very aromatic and spicy chili. It should be grown in full sun or semi-shade in fertile soil enriched with organic matter and watered regularly.
The cumari do para pepper enjoys weekly fertilization during growth and flowering and fertilization during fruiting every two weeks. It does not tolerate drought, floods, cold or frost. Harvest begins 90 days after sowing.
