The Pepper, also known as Jamaican Yellow Mushroom pepper, is one of the most common peppers of Caribbean countries. This pepper is present in many typical dishes of the place, where it is one of the main ingredients. In the Caribbean there are many qualities of chillies, including Bird Pepper or the most famous Habanero, one of the hottest chillies on the market: however, when we talk about “Caribbean chilli”, we are referring this chillies.

Jamaican Yellow Mushroom belongs to the Capsicum Chinense peppers species.

The plants are very complex and require masterly care in order to guarantee maximum yield in terms of flavor..

To cultivate chillies it is important to choose a soil that has traces of clayey and sandy soil inside.

The acidity of the soil is equally important, choosing a basic and alkalized soil allows the fruits to feed properly.

After carefully choosing the soil, another important step in growing this peppers is the care of the sprout. The plant needs the correct amount of water to grow and avoid drying out.

Even in an advanced stage of growth, a sudden decrease in watering, could irreversibly stop the ripening.
